Envisoning the Alamo - a Digital Art Giclee Canvas Print

Envisioning the Alamo
11" x 14" Digital Art Giglee Canvas Print

My "digital" painting of the entrance to the Alamo, in San Antonio, TX, will be included in the Woodworking Career Alliance Silent Auction Scholarship Fundraiser to be held April 21-25 in San Antonio, at the 24th Annual Woodworking Industry Conference.

While on a business related trip in San Antonia, last year, I had hoped to get some great photos of the Alamo.  But the weather and lighting conditions were less than optimal.  I was also pressed for time, and needed to hurry to get back to the hotel, check-out and catch a plane back to Atlanta.  Months later, when I finally had the time to review the photos I did take, I realized that they were even worse than I originally thought.  But at the start of a new year,  I was determined to at least "try" to create something of artistic value from my miserable photos that could at least be included in the annual Woodworking Industry Conference Auction for the Woodworking Career Alliance.

And after many hours of  layering, filtering, dodging, filling, stamping, toning, brushing and highlighting in Photoshop CS5, my vision for "Envisioning the Alamo" was complete.
